Terms of Service

By accessing or using PathfAI ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and PathfAI. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect.

PathfAI is an AI-powered career platform that provides:

- CV scoring and ATS optimization - AI-guided CV building - Personalized career coaching through Dr. Morgan - Interview preparation with AI interviewers - LinkedIn profile optimization - Job application tracking

The Service is provided "as is" and is intended to assist — not replace — your own judgment in career decisions. AI-generated content is advisory in nature and may not always be accurate or applicable to your specific situation.

To use PathfAI, you must create an account using a valid email address. You agree to:

- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration - Maintain the security of your password and accept responsibility for all activity under your account - Notify us immediately at legal@pathfai.com if you suspect unauthorized access - Not share your account credentials with others

You must be at least 16 years old to use PathfAI. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement.

You agree not to use PathfAI to:

- Upload or transmit content that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, or infringes third-party rights - Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the platform - Use automated tools (bots, scripts) to access the Service in a way that burdens our infrastructure - Misrepresent your identity or impersonate any person or entity - Submit false, misleading, or fabricated CV content with intent to deceive employers - Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension or termination without refund.

PathfAI offers a Free plan and a Pro plan.

Free Plan: Available to all registered users at no cost, subject to usage limits described on our Pricing page.

Pro Plan: Priced at $12 per month (or as otherwise displayed at the time of purchase). By subscribing, you authorize PathfAI to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel.

Billing: Billing occurs on the same day each month from your subscription start date. If a payment fails, we will retry up to three times over seven days before suspending your Pro access.

Price Changes: We will notify you at least 30 days in advance of any price changes. Continued use of the Pro plan after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new price.

All payments are processed by Stripe. PathfAI does not store your payment card details.

Cancellation: You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time from Settings → Subscription → Manage Plan. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain Pro access until that date.

Refunds: PathfAI does not offer refunds for partial months of service. If you believe you were charged in error, contact legal@pathfai.com within 14 days of the charge and we will investigate.

Exceptional Circumstances: We may, at our sole discretion, issue refunds or credits in cases of extended service outages or billing errors caused by PathfAI.

Our Content: PathfAI and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by PathfAI and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Service without our express written permission.

Your Content: You retain ownership of the content you submit to PathfAI (CV content, job descriptions, coaching responses). By submitting content, you grant PathfAI a limited, non-exclusive license to process and store it solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

AI-Generated Content: Career advice, CV suggestions, and other AI-generated outputs are provided for your personal use. PathfAI does not claim ownership of these outputs, but you acknowledge they are generated using our proprietary systems.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

PathfAI does not warrant that: - The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free - AI-generated career advice will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your specific situation - Results obtained from using the Service will meet your expectations

Career outcomes (such as job offers or salary increases) depend on many factors outside our control. PathfAI makes no guarantees regarding employment outcomes.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PATHFAI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

IN NO EVENT SHALL PATHFAI'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO PATHFAI IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) $100 USD.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability, so the above limitations may not apply to you.

By You: You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Your data will be deleted within 30 days.

By PathfAI: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or conduct that harms other users or PathfAI. In cases of clear violation, we may terminate without notice. In other cases, we will provide reasonable notice and an opportunity to address the issue.

Effect of Termination: Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimer, and limitation of liability) will survive.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Delaware.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. For material changes, we will provide at least 14 days' notice via email or prominent in-app notification before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
